Markoolio himself invented the romance rumor between himself and Ebba Busch.
That is what the KD leader claims in SVT’s “Prejudice show”.

In connection with Ebba Busch and husband Niklas Thor’s divorce in 2019, a rumor began to spread about a romance between the KD leader and Marko “Markoolio” Lehtosalo, 51.
When Edvin Törnblom and Johanna Nordström brought it up in the podcast “Ursäkta”, it really took off.
– They are so in love. They have been together for four months. They are so happy. And this has spread across Stockholm, everyone knows it, said Edvin Törnblom.

In SVT’s “Prejudice show”, Ebba Busch receives this statement from the presenter Emil Persson:
– The romance rumors between you and Markoolio have encouraged a slasher killcrowd to believe that they actually have a chance – and thus dare to pick on you. It has lowered the market value of you, quite simply.
– Yes, absolutely, Ebba Busch answers with a laugh.
– When that came out, and I heard from an insider that it was he himself who sat and talked crap in some context, I thought “this is not necessarily good for my market value, no”.
Markoolio’s cryptic response
She was not entirely happy with Törnblom and Nordström.
When asked if she got angry, she replies:
– Yes, but you don’t do it that way. And also because I thought it was done in a reductive way.
She appreciated that Marko Lehtosalo also came out and denied the rumor.
– Back then, Markoolio was a cool guy, says Ebba Busch.
In an SMS to Expressen, Markoolio writes:
“Never been a romance. But come check out my show ‘Do It Again, Markoolio’ this fall on Rival and maybe things will clear up a bit.”
