Roxette are celebrating 40 years since the release of their first album with a major world tour.
14 gigs were planned in the US and Canada this fall.
Now they are cancelled.
The world tour has been going on since last year and Roxette has had several concerts, including in Europe and Africa.

On October 9th, Roxette would take North America with a gig in Auburn, Washington, then 13 more stops awaited. It’s about the band’s “40th Anniversary Tour 2026”, but now everything has been cancelled.
“Due to logistics and hugely increased tour costs, Live Nation US has decided to postpone the North American tour,” writes Roxette on social media.
On social media, several disappointed fans write:
“My heart is broken,” writes one person.
“Sad to hear the tour is cancelled. Would have loved to see the band again,” writes another.
In the spring of 2025, Lena Philipsson took her place in the Roxette duo after Marie Fredriksson, to go on the world tour together with frontman Per Gessle. Marie Fredriksson died in the aftermath of a brain tumor in 2019.
“Hope we’ll see each other another time,” Roxette ends the post with.
