“Elle,” a spinoff set before the “Legally Blonde” movies with Reese Witherspoon, premieres this summer.
It is already clear that there will be a second season, reports Deadline.
The series, which airs on Prime Video, follows protagonist Elle Woods through her high school years before entering Harvard – where she attends in the first ‘Legally blonde’ film from 2001.
In the film, which received a sequel in 2003, Elle Woods is played by Reese Witherspoon. In the series, the role is played by the doll Lexi Minetree.
“To share the story of how Elle Woods became the unstoppable force we all fell in love with 25 years after the world first met her is a dream come true,” said Witherspoon, executive producer of the series, in a press release.
“Elle” has already been renewed for a second season, Amazon announces.
