The woman is suspected of having poisoned four people at the University Hospital
Now one of the victims does not dare to return to work.
– Mentally, it’s a lot to take in and hard, says Sunita Memetovic, plaintiff’s attorney for one of the victims.

Four people at the University Hospital in Uppsala are suspected of having been poisoned.
All work at the children’s hospital, and the poisonings occurred over a ten-day period starting at the end of October.
On Friday, a person was arrested and detained on the lower level of suspicion.
The investigation continued throughout the weekend. Both the suspect and the poisoned hospital colleagues were questioned by the police.
Can get an answer soon
On Monday, the suspected woman was requested to be detained, now with the higher level of suspicion. The crime classification was attempted murder in three cases.
She herself is employed at the hospital.
On Monday afternoon, the Uppsala district court announced that the woman is being detained on reasonable suspicion, which is the lower level of suspicion. She is being held on suspicion of four counts of aggravated assault, and therefore not attempted murder.
Chamber prosecutor Emma Häggström does not want to comment on a possible motive, but believes that they will soon get an answer to what happened.
– We are taking a lot of investigative measures this week, We will, among other things, hold further interrogations. We also hope to shortly receive the analysis reports we have been waiting for, she says.
Specially trained forensic scientists have worked on the case.
– I don’t want to go into what kind of analyzes we have done or are to be done.
Mentally hard
One of the victims of the suspected poisoning has not been able to return to work.
The suspected poisoning has affected her both physically and mentally.
– It is clear that this has affected her psychologically, says Sunita Memetovic, plaintiff’s assistant for the victim.
– Physically, she has had very serious problems, but she has recovered so that she is healthy. But it is clear that psychologically it is a lot to take in and difficult. She has not returned to work yet after this.
The fact that someone who works at the hospital is suspected of poisoning makes it extra tough mentally to return to work.
– There is a suspicion. You and I would have felt that too, says Sunita Memetovic.
– You are worried because you do not know what is the basis for this. You feel that you are on your guard, anyone would have felt that.

Similar symptoms
The suspect is a woman in her 60s. She initially refused a lawyer, but was still assigned a public defender, TT reports.
The four employees who fell ill had similar symptoms, critically low potassium levels and needed intensive care.
At the beginning of November, the police opened a preliminary investigation into attempted murder with suspicion of poisoning. The police believe, according to information given to Aftonbladet, that their water bottles are spiked with “extremely high” levels of caffeine powder.
At the hospital, security has been stepped up after what happened. Locked departments and security guards outside the door.
– I think it is promising that the investigation is moving forward and so does my client, says Sunita Memetovic.
– Hopefully we can get answers to what happened, in what way and why.
