A young man is seriously injured after an act of violence in southern Stockholm.
The incident is classified as attempted murder.
– It is some form of stabbing or cutting violence he has been subjected to, says Ola Österling, press spokesperson at the police.
In pictures from the crime scene in Gröndal, the police are seen handling what appears to be a large knife or machete. The injured man was taken to hospital by ambulance. His injuries are described as serious.
– Parallel to that, an operation is underway where they have started tracking with a dog for one or more perpetrators, said Ola Österling at the police earlier on Thursday evening.
The alarm came in just after 7pm on Thursday. By 8 p.m., no one had been arrested.
