The man who is suspected of the murder of the ambulance paramedic Helena Löfgren, 47, is charged.
This is reported by SVT Gävleborg.
She was assaulted by a patient when she went to an alarm in Harmånger in Nordanstig.
On September 20 this year, 47-year-old ambulance paramedic Helena Löfgren went out to an alarm in Harmånger in Nordanstig. When she got there, the patient, a 26-year-old man, assaulted her.
Helena died from her injuries.
The deed shook Sweden. Ambulance workers throughout the country have demanded better security.
The 26-year-old suspect had also previously been violent towards ambulance personnel.
Double attacks
He is also charged with an attack on another paramedic three days earlier. The colleague has previously told TV4’s “Cold facts” about the attack, where the man now suspected of murder swung a baseball bat at him.
– Then I got hold of his arm and broke it open on his back until he let go. But then when we were on our way out, he jumped on me again. He threw himself at me and hit me in the neck and head.
Convicted of threats and violence
Images have circulated in social media that are said to have been posted by the suspect when he was in his apartment after the crime, as Expressen previously reported. The images show a knife with blood-like splashes, and the text:
“Well then the police are outside with smg (submachine gun, eds note) because I have killed someone”.
It has not been officially confirmed that it is the suspected perpetrator who is the author of the images.
The man was charged last spring for having threatened a relative with a knife and for hitting the relative with his fists and a mortar attack. He was sentenced for unlawful threats and assault to probation and 180 hours of community service, with a requirement to undergo the treatment that probation deems appropriate.
