The warning: Cancel the mountain tour
Thursday looks like it will be really windy in large parts of the country, and SMHI warns of both wind and snowfall in several places. In north-eastern Norrbotten county, SMHI has issued a yellow warning for snowfall in combination with wind, which can make the roads really difficult and visibility poor during the afternoon and evening. Strong to very strong winds are also expected in the Kalffjäll in the central Lapland mountains, and SMHI urges everyone who is not properly used to mountains to cancel their planned mountain trips. So whether you’re going out on the roads or the mountains – take it carefully and keep an eye on the weather!

The Swedish embassy warns of flooding, especially on Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, and many have secured their homes against the storm. The storm is expected to pass on Thursday and subside on Friday, but there are concerns that tourists have not been reached by the warnings.
