Man dead after noise in apartment – suspected murder
Shortly before 4pm, the police were alerted to an apartment in Malmö after several people called in a brawl at the address. There, a man at the age of 45 was found with knitting or cutting injuries, the police write on his website. He was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The apartment and stairwell were blocked off for technical examination. At 16.30, the police decided to block off at the hospital to maintain order and security at the site. Several people were in and outside the apartment, says police spokesman Evelina Olsson to Expressen at 17.
– In what way they are involved in the case we do not know yet. We work with information gathering. I don’t have the whole situation picture ready for me. The patrols don’t have it in place either. We have some kind of initial perception of what has happened, but there is nothing we can go out with right now.
What are you doing at the site right now, in addition to information gathering?
– We are awaiting techniques. When the technicians are clear and we can relieve the barriers, we will also knock the door and collect more information. We have several callers alerted about this, so there are several people who can sit on important details here and we want to talk to them.
Why did you make a decision to block off at the hospital?
– It is to avoid order disorders. The patrols who were in the hospital noticed people who had severe emotional expressions, and to avoid it being messy and noisy there they made the decision. It’s nothing unusual.
At 17.40, the police write on his website that the man died from the injuries. The case is now being investigated as murder.
