A 17-year-old is charged with attempted murder, serious weapons crime and preparation for murder.
The crimes he is charged with occurred in Grästorp and Borås at the end of May this year.
On the night of May 27, a number of shots were fired at a home in Grästorp municipality. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the resident of the house acted in emergency protection with a shotgun.
Shortly thereafter, a then 16-year-old boy could be arrested with gunshot injuries in the leg adjacent to the site.
– A ball has met the facade of the house over the balcony where one of the residents in the house was at the shooting. Four bullets have gone into the house, one through the kitchen window and three through the open balcony door, says Senior Prosecutor Sofia Karlsson in a press release.
The police have secured evidence from the boy’s phone where it appears that the evening before the shooting he traveled to Gothenburg and Borås armed.
– The shooting took place at the same place where a fire was built a week later. The fire was investigated as a murder and an 18-year-old man has been convicted of the murder. Our view is that both he and the 17-year-old who are now being charged with the shooting have carried out the act on behalf of another, says Senior Prosecutor Berit Andreasson in a press release.
