Woman dies after bicycle accident in central Stockholm
A woman in her 20s has died after being hit by a truck on Södermalm in Stockholm.
The accident occurred a little after 10 a.m. on Monday morning at a traffic light on Ringvägen near Södersjukhuset.
The cyclist ended up under the truck and was unconscious when she was taken to hospital.
– We have filed a report of gross negligence in traffic and causing the death of another person, says police spokesperson Anna Westberg.
Relatives have been notified of the death.
The area was cordoned off for a few hours but the truck has now been towed from the scene.
