Now Stockholm’s subway cars will be named after famous artists, reports Mitti.
– Now we want to give music a place in public transport, and highlight musicians who have a strong connection to our region, says Jakop Dalunde, chairman of the traffic committee in Region Stockholm, to the newspaper.
Among those who get to adorn the named carriages on the red subway line are Eskilstunabandet Kent, Uppsala’s Veronica Maggio and Landskrona-worthy Siw Malmkvist.
Ebba Grön, Monica Zetterlund, Petter and Cherrie also get carriages named after them.
