Two-year-old boy dead – found in waterway
The two-year-old boy who disappeared from Laholm municipality on Monday has died.
He was found in a stream after just over six hours.

It was around 10 o’clock on Monday morning that a two-year-old, soon to be three-year-old, boy disappeared from his home in a town in Laholm municipality, and a major search effort was launched.
– We have a larger resource in the works, said Fredrik Svedemyr, press spokesperson for the police, on Monday afternoon.
He continued:
– We are handling it as a special event, which in practice means that we can initiate collaboration with, among others, the Swedish Armed Forces to gain strength in the search effort.
The fire department also participated in the search for the boy.
Boy dead after disappearance
At 4:33 p.m., just over six hours after the boy had disappeared, the police announced that he had been found and that he had been taken to hospital by police helicopter. His condition was described as unclear at the time.
– He was flown to a place where an ambulance arrived, says Fredrik Svedemyr.
Two hours later, police announced that the boy had died. He was found in a stream not far from where he disappeared.

Relatives have been notified.
There is no suspicion of a crime.
