Two teenagers in Boden are being treated in hospital.

According to the police, they are suspected of having been poisoned – after smoking vapes.

On Friday morning, the police in the northern region were informed that two teenagers in Boden are suspected of having been poisoned – and are being treated in hospital as a result.

The police write on their website:

“Unknown, hazardous substance”

“There is suspicion that they may have ingested some unknown, dangerous substance after smoking vapes, electronic cigarettes.”

Elisabeth Glaas cannot provide more details about the young people, such as how old they are or the extent of their injuries, but the police now want to urge everyone who smokes vapes to “be extremely careful.”

“We hope that guardians will have a dialogue with their children and teenagers to inform them that smoking these electronic cigarettes can be associated with great risks, if it is not possible to know for sure what they contain,” the police write on their website.
