Swedish aid has gone to organizations with connections to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, writes Aftonbladet.
– How the hell could our money go to this organization? says Aid Minister Benjamin Dousa (M), who wants Sida’s director general to explain himself.
The organization ICHR, The Independent Commission for Human, has received aid from Sweden every year since 2011.
The minister for aid is now telling Aftonbladet that the Foreign Ministry has now received information that the money will have been used by Hamas to train police officers, among other things.
Dousa has now called Sida’s director general Jakob Granit to the Foreign Ministry to get answers to four questions.
– First of all, how the hell could our money go to this organization? Number two, how could it take so long before Sida informed us? Number three, how can one parallelly prepare a new support for exactly this organization? Number four, how could this organization get through the special reviews that the government has decided on? he says to the newspaper.
