Then Donald Trump – who said he hates Taylor Swift – couldn’t hold back.
While the world’s biggest pop star and the American football player were having a wedding reception in Madison Square Garden in New York, President Donald Trump was sitting in Air Force One on his way to a rainy South Dakota.
He was going to Mount Rushmore as part of America’s 250th anniversary celebration but, like the rest of America, couldn’t help but be fascinated by the wedding with all its star guests.
Outside the classic arena in New York – where the Rangers play hockey, the Knicks play basketball and all the stars of the world play music – a sign was lit overnight Friday with the text “JUST&T MARRIED!” (with T&T in for Taylor and Travis, of course).

The Daily Mail writes that it was only minutes after T&T’s ceremony before he launched a new tirade against Swift on her big day.
The White House account on X posted an AI image reminiscent of what it looked like outside Madison Square Garden – but with the text about “newlyweds” reading “Trump is your president”.

Donald Trump, 80, has long held a grudge against Swift, 36.
Eight years ago, Swift endorsed a Democratic Senate candidate from Tennessee, prompting Trump to say he “liked Swift’s music 25 percent less.”
But it was when Swift came out with her support for Trump’s 2024 presidential opponent, Kamala Harris, that it broke for Trump.
“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,” he wrote on social media.
Meanwhile, he struck a more conciliatory tone in August 2025, when Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement.
“I wish them the best of luck,” Trump told reporters during a cabinet meeting.
“I think he’s a great player, I think he’s a great guy. I think she’s a great person, so I wish them the best of luck.”
Trump’s own “Eras tour”
The fake Madison Square Garden photo wasn’t the only Swift-linked post from the Trump camp.
There was also a post where the White House posted a collage of Trump pictures made in the same style as Taylor Swift’s tour poster for her “Eras tour”. Trump’s version, on the other hand, is called “America’s eras tour”, and the pictures show a mixture of American classics such as the hockey team’s Olympic victory in 1980, the moon landing, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington – and of course the most pictures of Trump himself.
