Eight Goliath Musons-also called the world’s most expensive fungus and common in Swedish forests-have been sold for 850,000 yen, equivalent to just over SEK 53,000, at the season’s first auction in the city of Tamba-Sasayama in western Japan, reports the Japanese newspaper Mainichi.
