A man in his 50s, employed by the telecoms giant Telia, has been charged with nearly 300 cases of aggravated rape against children.

The plaintiff was under the age of 15 on at least 250 of the occasions.

He is also charged with aggravated child pornography. Several of the abuses were either filmed or photographed and four of them are to be assessed as “particularly reckless abuse material”, according to the prosecutor.

The man also had a large amount of child pornography. It concerns a total of over 25,000 child pornographic images and 1,154 films with a playing time of a total of 137 hours, according to the indictment.

He is also charged with aggravated sexual abuse of a child, sexual molestation, aggravated sexual molestation and breach of child protection.

The suspected crimes were committed between January 2020 and September 2025.

The man is also charged with violating the Medicines Act after having potency drugs that require a prescription or permit without having one, as well as violating the Weapons Act when he is suspected of having kept 408 cartridges unlocked and unattended.
