Expressen has gone through several judgments and prosecutions connected to Pedo Hunting Sweden. Here is a summary:
15 December 2023, Solna
A man is lured to Råstasjön in Solna, to meet what he says is a 15-year-old girl. There he is jumped on by several masked people, beaten and kicked and gets PHS written on his forehead.
During the winter of 2024/2025, three men aged 20-25 are sentenced to two years in prison each, for serious assault.
December 26, 2023, Tyresö
After an evening in a pub, a group of young men go to the home of a man, whom they call a pedophile, in Tyresö. They barge in and beat him, and follow him outside as he escapes.
A total of seven men in their 20s have been convicted of serious breach of domestic peace and serious assault, or aiding and abetting serious assault. One of them to probation, one to probation and imprisonment for three months, the other five to imprisonment for a minimum of one year and six months and a maximum of one year and nine months.
February–April 2024, Gothenburg
A “fisherman” pretends to be a 14-year-old girl and makes contact with several grown men in social media chats. The men are lured to isolated places in Mölnlycke, Mölndal and Gothenburg, where they are met by people who abuse, sometimes rob, humiliate and film them. The films are published and then spread on the PHS Telegram account.
Totally similar cases have been before the court, and in January 2025 the Court of Appeal sentences a 20-year-old woman and four men in their 20s to 30s for committing various crimes alone or together in different constellations. These are robberies, gross illegal invasion of privacy, involvement of minors in crime, gross assault and aiding and abetting aggravated assault. The penalty is imprisonment for a minimum of two years, a maximum of four years and four months.
Even a 14-year-old boy at the time of the crimes has, according to the Court of Appeal, been guilty of three robberies and three serious unlawful invasions of privacy.
April 26, 2024, Umeå
A man talks to what he thinks is a 14-year-old girl on Kik, and they arrange to meet in central Umeå. There he is instead met by three masked men, who beat and kick him, film and spread the film on social media – where it receives tens of thousands of views.
A few months later, the Court of Appeal sentences two men in their 20s to prison for one year and ten months each, for serious assault and serious unlawful invasion of privacy. A boy who was 17 at the time of the assault, now 19, is sentenced to youth supervision for seven months.
10-11 August 2024, Gothenburg
A man is lured to an address in Gothenburg, where he is met by two unknown perpetrators who beat and kick him, and steal his mobile phone.
In September 2025, a 21-year-old man, with connections to PHS, is charged with accessory to robbery for luring the man to the address, by pretending to be a woman who wanted to meet him.
The trial will take place next year.
25 October 2024, Östersund
After writing with a girl in a chat forum, a man is lured to Jamtli pier in Östersund, where he is attacked by masked people.
In February 2025, the district court sentences a 17-year-old boy to youth care and a then 19-year-old man to probation for assault. Two 17-year-old girls at the time are sentenced to youth service for 30 and 35 hours respectively for aiding and abetting assault, for filming the incident and “fishing” respectively.
The prosecutor has appealed the sentence against the 19-year-old, who is now 20 years old.
16-17 May 2024, Örnsköldsvik
A man is lured to the travel center in Örnsköldsvik, after chatting with a person on Grindr. On the spot, he is jumped on by several people, who, according to the indictment, hit and kick him, including to the head while he is lying down. The abuse is recorded and an edited film is then spread on social media.
In September 2025, a 17-year-old boy and four men in their 20s and 30s will be charged with gross illegal invasion of privacy, and three of the men also with gross assault.
The verdict will be announced on October 29.
May 2025, Nässjö
A man is lured to an address in Nässjö after talking to a woman on a sugar dating site. The woman he meets takes him into an apartment – where three other men appear. They film him, force him to say that he is thinking about “having sex with children”, and get him to swipe money.
In October, the Court of Appeal sentences a 21-year-old woman and three men aged 20–35 to prison for two years each, for extortion, attempted extortion and less serious kidnapping.
