The Social Democrats want to enter into a ten-year pact with the Moderates

Magdalena Andersson wants to form a ten-year pact with the Moderates against the gangs, she says at a press conference.

In her Christmas speech 30 minutes later, she attacks the Tidö parties – and calls their economic policy “stupid”.

– Right now, the Tidö collaboration is steering towards a societal model that is fundamentally unSwedish, she says.

S-leader Magdalena Andersson wants to conclude a ten-year pact with the center in Swedish politics, with the Moderates, against gang crime. She says this at a press conference on Saturday before she gives her Christmas speech in Kärrtorp in southern Stockholm.

A cross-block agreement is needed for a “long-term reform agenda”, in order to, among other things, stop new recruitment, according to Andersson, who now intends to invite Moderat leader Ulf Kristersson to such talks.

– It is a course that needs to be established over time, but also across different majorities, says Magdalena Andersson.

“Needs a different approach”

The S leader believes that the fight against the gangs needs a “backbone” consisting of the Social Democrats and the Moderates, similar to how defense policy works.

– We need a different approach to be able to solve this for real, says Andersson.

– This government has done many good things, many toughening of penalties that we started with and that have been taken forward, extensive new hires at the police and investments in expanding the judicial chain – that’s good, says Magdalena Andersson.

Magdalena Andersson does not want to exclude any parties from being part of the ten-year pact.

– It is important to create this long-term stability, says Teresa Carvalho, who also participates in the press meeting.

The attack – 30 minutes after the proposal: “Stupid”

But just over 30 minutes after Andersson praised parts of the government’s policy, she attacked it.

– Right now the Tidö collaboration is steering towards a societal model that is fundamentally unSwedish, she says in her Christmas speech.

She then exemplified the claim that the government’s economic policy is “completely backwards and clearly unsuccessful” and also “stupid”, according to Andersson.
