One is arrested – after the shots in Gävle
An adult man has been arrested for assisting in attempted murder and serious weapons crime after this weekend’s shooting in Gävle.
The detention hearing will be held at 15 o’clock on Friday.
“Based on the fact that it is a young performer who exercises firearm violence, the act follows the modus we could previously see in violence between criminal networks,” prosecutor Jenny Örn said in a press release.
Since this type of gang violence could previously result in revenge, she has requested that the man’s identity be kept secret at the court.
Another man over 18 is arrested in the case as reasonably suspected. He must either be released or requested detained no later than 12 o’clock on Saturday.
Six people were injured in Saturday night’s shooting in central Gävle, but everyone has now been allowed to leave hospitals according to the Prosecutor’s Office.
A 13-year-old boy is suspected to have fired the shots. According to the prosecutor, it can probably be linked to gang crime, but none of the people hit by shots are believed to have been actual targets. (TT)
