The local V-top Rikard Rudolfsson leaves all assignments in Borlänge.

The announcement comes after he was charged with child abuse.
Rikard Rudolfsson has until Tuesday been the Left Party’s group leader in municipal council in Borlänge. He has also sat in the municipal council, in the environment and community planning committee and was chairman of the party in the municipality and sat on the district board.
But now he drops everything.
“I hereby renounce all political assignments”he writes in the email to the municipality that Borlänge Tidning has seen.
Charged with crime
The reason is that he has recently been charged with the abuse of two children. He is also charged with child welfare offences, as both children saw the other being abused.
In questioning, Rikard Rudolfsson has admitted the assault. He says that at the time he got angry and “lost the concept” and afterwards was “very sorry that it happened”.
It was the Left Party in Dalarna that called on him to resign.
– The Left Party cannot have a person accused of child abuse on official assignments, says district chairman Maja Gilbert Westholm.
