Real estate agents’ fear index surges for condominiums

Now new figures are coming in about the housing market. Prices had little change during May, but condominiums in particular have proven difficult to sell. The brokers’ “fear index” shows nervousness among sellers – it is skyrocketing.

In May, prices for tenant-owned apartments were almost unchanged from the previous month, while house prices increased by 0.5 percent. The figures for May also show that the annual rate of price development for housing in Sweden is now weak.

Residential rights have risen by 1.3 percent in twelve months, while villas are up 0.4 percent. This can be compared with CPIF, inflation excluding interest, which is at an annual rate of approximately 2.3 percent for May.
