Trump cancels negotiations with Canada
Donald Trump has ended all trade negotiations with Canada in protest over a television ad protesting the US tariffs. Trump himself announces it on Truth Social. He believes that the advertisement contains fake clips where Ronald Reagan talks negatively about tariffs. A week ago, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced that the province would buy seventy-five million dollars worth of advertising time in the United States. The ad features a radio speech by Reagan from nineteen eighty-seven, in which he defends 100 percent tariffs on Japan but at the same time warns against allowing the conflict to continue. Reagan says in the ad that, in the long run, such trade barriers hurt every American, both workers and consumers.

Weather suede is expected this weekend
A deep low pressure moves in over Sweden and brings rain, wind and snow, according to meteorologist Per Holmberg at Stormgeo. During Friday night, large amounts of rain are expected in southern and central Sweden, and by the weekend the precipitation will turn into snow in the north. It will be windy, cloudy and really classic autumn weather, and the strong winds can cause the autumn leaves to quickly disappear from the trees. Towards the middle of next week, colder air can sweep down over the country and bring snow also in southern Norrland and northern Svealand.

Season premiere of “On the track”
The comedian couple Johanna Wagrell and Johan Hurtig, who separated earlier this year, are now competing together in this year’s season of “På spåret”, which premieres tonight. Wagrell says that a divorce is always difficult and that they are still processing it, but that they worked through the worst of it with the help of couples therapy. The couple was considered for the program two years ago when they were still married, but then they did not get a place in the season.
