VAIL. Pelle Larsson, 24, can breathe out.

The injury he sustained is not very serious and will only keep him out of action for a week or two.

The Swedish Miami Heat player underwent an MRI examination on Wednesday and the results were relatively positive.

They showed that the ankle is “only” sprained and the prognosis is now that he will be out for one to two weeks.

The Heat have five games in the next two weeks and it remains to be seen if Larsson misses all of them – it depends on how the treatment responds, reports the Miami Herald.

Nasty pictures

It was in the match against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night, Swedish time, that Pelle Larsson lost his balance and accidentally stepped on teammate Andrew Wiggins so that the entire ankle bent.

He grinned evilly and was helped off the pitch by his teammates.

Out of shape

The Miami Heat have been one of the NBA’s great exclamation points this season, but have entered a slump as of late, losing four of their last five games.

Larsson gained a lot of confidence at the start of the season when superstar Tyler Herro was injured and the Swede then played 15 straight games from the start.

He has seen a little less playing time as of late and has also struggled with injuries (in addition to this injury, he has had another foot injury as well as a hip problem).
