Mo Farah was stopped – had a prize in his bag

Mo Farah, 42, was stopped at airport security.

The running icon had something in her bag that made the staff react:

A prize he had previously received.

Mo Farah attended a ceremony in Cannes where he received the Clio Sports Award, a gold-colored statuette, for his contributions to the sport.

The special incident then occurred at the Nice airport, where security personnel were alerted that he was carrying something prohibited in one of his bags.

Namely the statuette he received at the gala, which led to a more thorough check of the contents.

“Stopped him”

He was taken aside and his bags were searched.

– It held him up for five minutes before he was allowed to pass again, a witness tells The Sun.

Another witness says that Farah then had to run fast so as not to miss the flight.

– But he kept a good mood, as always, the person adds.

One of the most successful in history

Previously, several people had approached Farah at the airport, which was described as packed, and congratulated him on the award.
