Two ministers in the government sharply criticize the social services unit manager in Gävle, Anna Bakken Krantze, following her proposal on “football shoes and massage” instead of tougher holds.

“Social service workers must stop fantasizing about massaging gang criminals mothers,” writes Liberals party leader Simona Mohamsson at X.

Latest news clips from Expressen.

A 14-year-old boy has been taken care of by the social services in Gävle after the weekend’s shooting where six people are shot on the open street.

During On Monday, the Social Services Head of Unit was interviewed in Gävle, Anna Bakken Krentze, by TV4’s reporter. She is of the opinion that what the social services need is more tools and resources than harsher penalties and “harsher grips”.

– We would need funds to offer alternatives. Buy training cards, buy a pair of football shoes, go out and check, give a massage to some tired mom or dad. These are, we need to get funds, we need mentors who can go in and be role models. We need to fill up from elsewhere, she tells the channel.

The ministers’ criticism

But the comment has been criticized. Among other things, two ministers in the government: Social Services Minister Camilla Waltersson Grönvall (M) and Sweden’s Minister of Education and Integration Simona Mohamsson (L).

They have both written each post on X.

Camilla Waltersson Grönvall writes that it has been terribly oblique in Gävle and that it is not the place for excuses, but for action.

“When a 13-year-old shoots six people, it’s not a matter of massage and football shoes. Social services, school and police have to find out who knew what-why this was not stopped.”

Mohamsson writes that “social service workers must stop fantasizing about massaging gang criminals mothers”.

Decision to dispose of the boy

She adds that “rock hard work” is required to crack the gang: “Modern preventive work, not old Dalt”.

According to Expressen’s information, the suspected boy was reported at the time of the act and both the police and the social services were connected.

Four hours before the shots had a decision to take care of the boy within the framework of LVU, the Act on the Care of Young people, reports SVT.

The police continue to investigate the motive behind the deed but say it happened in connection with gang crime.

The Express is looking for Anna Bakken Krentze.
