Kristersson praises a lot – does little
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson says Sweden has momentum when it comes to AI. That’s good – but it’s not because of what’s happening within his government.
Sweden is to develop a national AI strategy for the years 2025-2030. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance, which recently published its digitalization strategy. However, the AI strategy is not planned to be ready until “early 2026” – that is, more than a year into the five-year period it is to cover.
Neither the pace nor the execution inspires. It’s a bit like doing orienteering and hoping you find a map once you’re out in the woods.
