Hattrick show by Ken Sema against Algeria

Ken Sema, 31, became Kenzema for one night.

The Swedish wingback scored a hat-trick against Algeria.

Blue-yellow won 4–3.

In anticipation of the World Cup qualifiers, Sweden played a friendly match against Algeria at home in Stockholm.

In front of 15,000 spectators, it was 4–3 to the home team.

Blue and yellow were completely superior in the first hour and had a 4–0 lead. Best of all was left wingback Ken Sema.

Hattrick

The 31-year-old scored his first hat-trick in the national team shirt, having only scored two goals in total before, and had a full show on the field.

It was he who made it both 1–0 and 2–0 in the first half and in the lead-up to the second it was Sema who stepped up at the penalty spot and scored the third after Alexander Bernhardsson went down.

– Disaster in defense. It’s like they don’t want to be here, said expert Fredrik Ljungberg, critical of Algeria’s defense.

Unofficial World Champions

Anton Saletros scored the most beautiful goal of the evening, however. On a free kick from almost 30 meters, he drilled the ball into the right crossbar with his left foot.

But that’s where the fun ended. Algeria woke up and made a match out of it. Three quick goals gave the event some nerve, but the guests didn’t get any closer than that.

The victory also means that Sweden takes over the title as unofficial world champions.
