Happy Midsummer – lovely pictures from the royal celebrations

Happy Midsummer, the royal family greets the Swedish people.

A post on Instagram shows pictures of Crown Princess Estelle and Prince Oskar in lovely summer attire.

The royal family, like the whole of Sweden, is celebrating Midsummer. In a greeting on Instagram, followers are invited to pictures from the Crown Princess family’s celebration – where the children are in focus. Both Crown Princess Estelle and Prince Oskar appear to be enjoying the beautiful flowers, with Estelle wearing a Midsummer wreath adorned with cornflowers around her head.

But the 2025 Midsummer celebration is not a big family party for the royal family.

– The royal family’s midsummer weekend is celebrated in various private places. We therefore do not communicate where, how and with whom, says Margareta Thorgren to Svensk Damtidning.

The period between Midsummer and Crown Princess Victoria’s birthday on July 14, when the whole family traditionally gathers in Borgholm on Öland, is usually marked by vacation times for the royal family.
