It was on Tuesday evening that cracks were discovered in the road surface in the two southbound lanes on the E4 between Hölö and Vagnhärad. The reason is ongoing management work by the road.

Repair work is underway and in the meantime southbound lanes are diverted to northbound where traffic can split into two lanes. The speed has been reduced to 50 kilometers per hour on the 2.5 kilometer stretch and on Saturday the traffic moved on, but at a slow pace and with some queuing.

– There may be some queues in the coming days, says Daniel Mossberg, press communicator at the Swedish Transport Administration.

The Swedish Transport Administration expects the repair work to be completed by 4 p.m. on December 22 at the latest.
