Charges brought against plane crasher

The plane-crawler who ran into Gamla Ullevi and attacked Sebastian Starke Hedlund was 17 years old at the time.

Now prosecutor Mats Ihlbom is bringing charges against him.

– The penalty is calculated when the acts were committed, he tells GP.

The now 18-year-old plane crasher has previously been given a three-year ban.

Next week he will be charged on several counts. Prosecutor Mats Ihlbom announced this to GP after the police investigation was completed.

– The indictment is partly about violations of the Public Order Act for the actual storming of the plane. Then there is the attempted assault on Sebastian Starke Hedlund. Then there was a bit of mischief afterwards too. Among other things, threats against an official and violence against an official. That is also included in the indictment, says Ihlbom.

Was 17 at the time of the incident

It was on May 15th in the derby between IFK Göteborg and Öster that a young man climbed down from the short side where the home supporters stand, the Command Bridge, and ran up to Sebastian Starke Hedlund with the goal of applauding the Österspelaren.

After trying to get back into the stands, the perpetrator was taken into custody and taken out of the arena.

The match was interrupted and only resumed over an hour later.

– The penalty is calculated when the acts were committed, and he was 17 at the time. That will have a certain impact on a possible penalty, says the prosecutor.

A trial date has not yet been set.
