“Busy right now – I’m pissed off”

Nora Lindahl, 20, has built more muscles.

It takes time to adapt to them.

– I don’t understand why it’s going so slowly, says Lindahl.

Nora Lindahl had her breakthrough last year when she was close to reaching the European Championship final in the 200 meters with her new personal best of 22.88.

The start of the 2025 outdoor season has been more difficult.

In Sunday’s Bauhaus Gala in Stockholm, she finished seventh in the 200 meters with a time of 23.23.

– It’s so hard right now. I’m much heavier and it’s been harder to run now, says Lindahl and notes:

– It feels good in training and crap in competition.

Have more muscles

Lindahl has focused on increasing muscle mass and is accumulating more lactic acid now than before.

– I just don’t understand what’s happening. I don’t understand why it’s going so slowly. I don’t understand why, says Lindahl, who is angry.

– I’m pissed. It’s just so fucking annoying. You would have hoped it would be better this year but I can’t move forward and think “what is happening?”.

What are the benefits of more muscle weight?

– I have been a very weak sprinter compared to the world elite. You need this growth and getting stronger and bigger. But then you get heavier and it takes a while to get your muscles used to running fast for a long time. That’s what we’re trying to do. And since my strong point has been running easily, it’s going to be very tough for me when I get heavier.

Gets tired faster

Will there be another way to run?

– Definitely. I have more “power” in my stride and that makes you get tired much faster. So you get stressed too.

Are you going to get more out of it in 100 meters?

– Definitely. I’m running 100 meters on Tuesday and it will still be fun to see what you can do there.
