The Russian submarine entered the Baltic Sea on Tuesday via Stora Bält, the Armed Forces writes in a press release. Fighting and warships met the submarine in Kattegatt and follow it now.

– We have a good situation on the Baltic Sea and everything happens according to routine. You can look it clearly over the surface and we get questions, so we want to be transparent, says Jonas Beltram-Linné, press manager at the Armed Forces.

It is also written that it is a routine business that takes place in close collaboration with allies.

The submarine has only been seen on international water and has not constituted any violation of Swedish territory, says Jonas Beltrame-Linné.

The submarine has previously been followed by allies in NATO in, among other things, the English Channel.
