Peter Van Norden is dead.
The actor, who appeared in several comedies in the 1980s and 1990s, died Thursday morning at a Southern California hospice, his wife told TMZ.
Van Norden was 75 years old.

He acted in films such as “The Naked Gun”, “Police School”, “Waitress!” and the long-running “Cheers”.
Van Norden’s wife, Wendy, confirmed the death to the site, saying he died peacefully at a hospice in Southern California on Thursday morning. The actor struggled with several different illnesses.
Van Norden started in Hollywood in the late 1970s. TMZ writes that he then got a small role in the comedy “Squeeze play”.
Later he appeared in TV series and films such as “TJ Hooker” and “Roadhouse 66”. Many also recognize him as officer Vinnie Schtulman in “Police School 2”.
His last role came in “Corktown ’39” last year.
He was 75 years old.
