Cameron Diaz’s Journey to Motherhood at 47

Hollywood star Cameron Diaz became a mother for the first time when she was 47 years old.

Now she talks about the challenges of starting a family later in life.

– The women who have children are 20 years younger than me, she tells OK Magazine.

Cameron Diaz, 53, is back in Hollywood after a decade out of the limelight.

During the break, she has focused on family life with husband Benji Madden and the couple’s two children, Raddix, 6, and Cardinal, 2.

Since her return, Diaz has been busy with new film projects, including the comedy “Back In Action” and currently in the Apple TV movie “Outcome” where she plays opposite Keanu Reeves.

She describes it as a dream to work with Reeves and says she’s glad to have taken a break to focus on family.

“It’s absolutely fine”

Diaz became a mother for the first time at the age of 47 and says that it presents special challenges. Like she has to stay in good health.

– I love being a mother. It’s the best, best part of my life, she tells OK! Magazine.

She jokes that she now has to live to be 107 to keep up with her children, noting that many other mothers are 20 years younger.

– And that’s perfectly fine, but I want to feel vital. I’m just trying to stay alive, just like any other mother, says Diaz to OK Magazine.
