There is a little Christmas decoration here and there.
When Åsa Engström, 39, and her husband were out driving, they came across the “sensual” version of the Christmas goat.
– We just laughed, she says.
The Christmas decorations in the country’s municipalities received a new humorous addition over the weekend. Outside the municipal hall in Valdemarsvik, some creative local resident had placed two bucks made of fir rice in a position that is not the one you might otherwise associate Christmas bucks with.
– We couldn’t stop laughing, says Åsa Engström, who together with her husband discovered the goats on Saturday morning.
– Someone has clearly messed around a bit.
Horny buck
The picture that Åsa posted on her Facebook has been liked by over 1,200 people and rendered over a hundred comments. “Christmas buck becomes horny buck”, writes one user, “Gran collaboration???”, writes another.
– The joke seems to have been well received, says Åsa.
Trench clamp?
An interesting detail is that the checkers were changed back to the “normal” position on Saturday, after which someone changed the checkers to the jokey position again. In other words, the goat drama has the potential to become a sequel in Valdemarsvik during Christmas.
– This is a summer town, so it’s fun that we get some attention in the winter too, says Henric Engström, who took the picture of the goats.
In other municipalities, the horned goat theme has also been present in recent years. An example is Kävlinge municipality in Skåne, where the phenomenon has been recurring for several years.
