Suspected attempted murder in Malmö
A man has been found with stab or cut injuries in the Sofielund district of Malmö, the police say. The alarm came in just after 6pm on Monday evening. The man was taken to hospital with unclear injuries.
What has happened has not yet been determined, but the incident is being investigated as attempted murder.
– It is cordoned off and information gathering is in progress. He is being treated in hospital, it is an unclear state of the injury, says Evelina Olsson, press spokesperson at police region South.
According to the police, the man must have made his way from the crime scene to a nearby gym, where he was found. No one is currently in custody.
– There are various police resources on site – dog patrols, regular patrols and technicians. It is standard at this type of event, says Evelina Olsson.
She adds that at the moment it is not possible to say how long the police will remain at the scene.
– It depends on when the technicians are ready, she says.
