Gray sky and rainy clouds. This is how you can summarize the weather in week 44.

– It’s not great weather, says Johan Groth, meteorologist at the weather institute Stormgeo.

But during Tuesday and Wednesday there is a chance for some light and blue skies, mainly in Svealand and in areas over central and northern Götaland.

– You can see a pale November sun peeking out from time to time in the middle parts of the country, says Johan Groth.

The temperatures are around five to six plus degrees during the day, and around zero at night.

The clouds are heavy over southernmost Sweden.

– In Skåne, Halland and Blekinge it will also be quite windy.

It is also cloudy in northern Norrland.

– Along the coastline it will rain, towards the interior it will occasionally rain or sleet and the Lapland mountains get sleet or snow.

Rainy weather moves in

On Wednesday afternoon or evening, rainy weather is expected to sweep in from the west over Götaland.

– There is a little more gunpowder in that weather system, says Johan Groth.

It rolls on towards the northeast during the night to Thursday, which will be a rainy and wet day in almost all of Sweden, apart from inner Norrland where the precipitation falls as snow or sleet.

– It’s a sad day. Then it’s indoor activities that apply, or possibly snowball fights up north.

Unstable for the weekend

The night to Friday looks to clear up partially in all of Götaland and Svealand.

– The weather is decent in the southern half of the country with a few chances of sunshine every now and then.

But in central and northern Norrland, the remnants of the low pressure linger.

– There is slightly colder air that presses on. So little white can be from Dalafjällen, southern mountains, Jämtländ and Härjedalen and then Laplandfjällen.

The weekend also looks relatively unstable.

– Then there is another area of precipitation that comes in from the west, but then there is mild air over southern Sweden. The temperature can climb a bit above 10 degrees, says Johan Groth.
