The fire service received the alarm at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, but the fire is difficult to access and it took a while before they could arrive.

– This forest fire is a bit difficult to access, so we are working to get to the fire and start extinguishing it. But at the moment we cannot do that, said Martin Johansson at around 1:30 am.

Arrived at the fire

However, by 2:30 a.m., they had arrived and the extinguishing work was underway.

– It looks good, says line operator Lena Hoffman.

– We have finally arrived at the actual fire, so two forces are there to put it out. They have set a forecast from 2 a.m. and an hour ahead.

The emergency services are expected to remain until around 3 a.m., after which the work will be handed over to security guards who will guard the site until dawn.
