Stockholm grants building permit – sales start for skyscraper
The 30-story skyscraper Stadsljus has been given the green light to be built on Djurgården. Norwegian Obos expects sales to start this year. The giant building replaces the previously failed initiative from Oscar Properties.
After previous uncertainty, the City of Stockholm has given the green light for the new skyscraper at Norra Djurgårdsstaden in Stockholm. Stadsljus, a residential building designed as three interconnected cylinders, has received building permission from the City Planning Committee.
According to housing developer Obos, sales are planned to start this year, while construction will not start until 2026. The new skyscraper is a completely redesigned version of Oscar Properties’ previous project Gasklockan, and is being built on the same site – at Hjorthagen and Norra Djurgårdsstaden.
