The nightclub paid for the million-dollar party
A wild night out cost almost 5,000,000 kronor.
But the Florida Panthers players didn’t have to pay the bill.
Instead, the nightclub threw a party.
On Wednesday night, June 19, the Panthers won against the Edmonton Oilers and were thus crowned Stanley Cup champions for the second year in a row.
After the sixth and decisive match, there was a lot of celebration.
– We’ve probably slept a couple of hours since then. You have to take a nap or two in the afternoon to keep up, says Sam Reinhart on the podcast Spittin’ Chiclets.
Spittin’ Chiclets
The forward, who scored four goals in the last final, is pictured sitting in a pool with Matthew Tkachuk and Brad Marchand, all with drinks in their hands.
And the conversation continues with Marchand talking about a specific night of partying at the E11even nightclub in Miami.
“We were treated really well”
As the clock approached 5 a.m., team captain Alexander Barkov tried in vain to leave the party with Marchand.
– We’ve all been in the same situation. You don’t leave the club until you’re kicked out, says the veteran with a smile.
Tkachuk breaks in.
– He was going to pay the bill of $500,000 (equivalent to almost 4.8 million kronor) but realized it was free.
The nightclub therefore chose to offer the entire night out.
– We were treated really well. They do a good job, they have class.
And the partying will continue for a while longer… The NHL season starts again on October 7th.
