Trump’s Tiktok deadline may be illegal

The US president has extended the deadline for TikTok to be banned in the country for the third time, a move critics say is against the law – and the government’s own safety warnings about the app.

The debate over whether or not TikTok should be allowed in the US is getting more and more drawn out. On Wednesday, President Donald Trump said he would extend the deadline for selling the app by another 90 days.

It is the third time Trump has done so, and it comes at a time when the trade war between Beijing and Washington has begun to calm down.
