Authorities in dispute over Microsoft: “Not allowed”

The Swedish Tax Agency is purchasing cloud services from Microsoft. The Enforcement Service believes that this is a violation of the law, and is not involved in the transition. Giving away sensitive information to a private company is inappropriate, according to the Enforcement Service’s lawyer.

A conflict has flared up between the Swedish Enforcement Authority and the Swedish Tax Agency. The Swedish Tax Agency provides IT services to the Swedish Enforcement Authority, and now the Swedish Tax Agency wants to introduce Microsoft’s cloud services into its operations. The Swedish Enforcement Authority believes this is a violation of the law.
