Prao student admits attempted murder of woman
The 14-year-old has confessed: With a knife and an axe he tried to hack a woman to death at the workplace where he was working.
The boy is believed to have planned the crime “for a long period” and attacked when they were alone in the warehouse.

On April 1st of this year, the police were called to a workplace outside Enköping, where a 35-year-old woman had been seriously stabbed.
A 14-year-old boy was deprived of his liberty. Now the prosecutor has filed a so-called evidentiary case against him. Since he is under 15, he cannot be sentenced, but the district court will only determine whether he is guilty or not.
The boy allegedly stabbed the woman with both a knife and an axe. According to the crime report, she received “a large number of sharp-edged wounds to her neck, throat, face, chest and abdomen, where an injury to the rib cage caused blood and air to enter the left pleura, thereby causing life-threatening effects on her circulation.”

After the stabbing, the boy was taken into care under the Youth Care Act, LVU. The LVU ruling shows that he had not previously been in contact with social services but that he had long suffered from mental illness.
The attempted murder took place at a workplace where he was doing an internship and the victim was an employee. The incident occurred when the boy and the woman were alone in the warehouse, according to a report she made to the Swedish Work Environment Authority.
The boy has admitted that he stabbed the woman. According to the LVU verdict, he is said to have planned the crime “for a long period”. He has a “fascination with violence” and has “regularly visited websites that publish very destructive content”.
