Hugo Larsson to start against Hungary
BUDAPEST. Hugo Larsson, 20, gets the chance for Sweden.
He will start in the Blågult midfield in Friday’s friendly match against Hungary.
Hugo Larsson has not started any international matches since Jon Dahl Tomasson took over the Swedish national team.
The first start comes against Hungary.
– He has had a fantastic season in Frankfurt. He has not been available to me that often, only five out of twelve possible times. But he is a talent and interesting. He will start, says Jon Dahl Tomasson.
The start will be Larsson’s third for the Swedish national team. He received the first two starts when Janne Andersson was the national team captain.
Hien is the team captain
Tomasson also reveals that Anthony Elanga, Emil Holm, Robin Olsen and Isak Hien will start against Hungary.
Hien is the team captain, as Victor Nilsson Lindelöf is missing.
– Great fun. I got the chance to try it out for a half last time (against Luxembourg). Now I get to do it from the start. It’s something I’ve never done before and it’s a great honor to represent Sweden in that way. But in the end, it’s football. As usual, says Hien.
What kind of captain do you want to be?
– (Laughter). Good question. I’ll probably give you an answer to that in a few months. I’ll take it as it comes.
