Zackrisson leaves Leksand

The other day, Sportbladet was able to reveal that the loyal servant Patrik Zackrisson, 38, is being forced out of Leksand.

It’s official.

– “Everything has its time,” says general manager Thomas Johansson.

After six years at Leksands IF, the last five of which as team captain, Patrik Zackrisson is now leaving the club.

– I would like to extend a big thank you to Zacke for his time at Leksands IF. The Zackrisson family has meant a lot to us as an organization during our establishment in the SHL. Caroline has taken on a lot of responsibility on the other side of the rim and Zacke on the ice, which has been a great support for us and the building of the team in all parts. We have had respectful discussions for a long time and Patrik is in a part of his career where he does not have many years left and these decisions should really not be rushed. I wish Zacke and his family the best of luck with their next adventure, says Thomas Johansson in a statement.

Disagree

According to Sportbladet’s information, Leksand has offered Zackrisson – who was on an expiring contract – a contract with a substantial salary reduction.

The parties did not agree and now it remains to be seen where the 38-year-old will end up next.

Södertälje has shown interest.

– We are super interested in Patrik but nothing is clear, wrote SSK’s sports director Emil Georgsson in a text message to Länstidningen the other day.
