Putin: Will strike back against Ukraine

Vladimir Putin will strike back against Ukraine’s drone attack.

He says so in a conversation with Donald Trump.

“It was a good conversation but not a conversation that will lead to immediate peace,” the American president writes on Truth. News, interviews, reports and analysis about Russia’s invasion war in Ukraine.

It was announced on Sunday that Ukraine had struck Russian bombers in a large-scale operation – destroying around 40 in drone attacks.

One of the attacks was reportedly carried out 400 miles into Russian territory.

On Wednesday, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin spoke on the phone about the incident, Trump said.

Trump’s words about the conversation

“I just finished a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin,” he writes on his own social media platform Truth social.

“I just finished a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin,”

He states that the conversation lasted about an hour and fifteen minutes, and that – in addition to Ukraine’s drone attack – they also talked about “various other attacks from both sides”.

“It was a good conversation but not a conversation that will lead to immediate peace,” Trump writes.“It was a good conversation but not one that will lead to immediate peace”

Putin is said to have emphasized, and pointedly, that he “must” respond to the Ukrainian drone attack.

The two presidents are also said to have discussed Iran and its nuclear weapons program.
